Hot Stamping Foil Slitter Rewinder

Product highlights

  • Designed specifically for the thermal ribbon and hot stamping foil industry.
  • Supplied as standard with constant gap rewinding (to produce soft rolls) as well as contact control.
  • Interchangeable shafts enabling winding on cores down to a minimum of 25mm diameter with a maximum width of 1600mm.
  • The two independently driven rewind mandrels enable 25mm core product to be wound on one mandrel and 76mm core product on the other.
  • The two-rewind mandrels have independent diameter control enabling independent taper tension for each mandrel.
  • Tension control is fully automatic actual tension via load cells mounted within the three tension zones on the machine unlike competitors who calculate tension.
  • These tensions are displayed in real time as bar graphs during the full running cycle of the machine.

Unwind

Unwind type: Shaftless individual arm control none-pickup from floor
Maximum roll width: Up to 1650mm
Minimum roll width: 300mm on 76mm/ 400mm on 152mm

Core holding: Compress to grip dual size mechanical chuck
Brake: Multi-puck pneumatic type
Tension control: Automatic load cell/ or dancer arm
Tension range: 0.3 – 3Nm
Cam roller: First roller in web path fitted with a cam on one side to help remove slack edges in parent rolls of product
Guiding system (optional): FIFE CDP01 all electric system with ultrasonic head for edge control
Spreader roller: Specially grooved rubber roller that removes any creases in the product before it enters the "S" wrap drive

Main drive

Main drive: Dual 150mm diameter “S” wrap diamond pattern rubber covered drive rollers
Main drive motor: 5.5Kw AC Vector type with encoder and cooling fan
Maximum machine speed: 500 metres/min
Length counter: Calibrated in metres. This system only requires a length input from the operator as the PLC system automatically calculates the slowdown point to stop at final length

Slitting station

Slitting type: Individual razor holders in air or Razor in comb in air
Razor comb in / out control: Pneumatically operated with fine depth adjuster
In-feed slitting roller: Specially grooved rubber roller that removes any creases in the product before it enters the slitting section. This roller is driven
Out-feed slitting roller: Driven diamond pattern rubber covered
Trim removal (optional): Vacuum Venturi blower with dual adjustable nozzles or dual trim winders

Rewind

Rewind type: Duplex centre wind (cantilevered/ removable shafts)
Rewind motors: 2x 3.0Kw AC Vector type with encoders and cooling fans
Maximum rewind width: Up to 1650mm
Maximum rewind diameter: 600mm
Minimum shaft size: 25mm
Shafts supplied: 2 x 25mm & 2 x 76mm interchangeable air shafts
Tension control: Independent automatic load cell control of each rewind station (lock core winding)
Tension range: 0.3 – 3Nm
Lay-on arms / shaft support: SRC Systems electric actuator controlled constant gap winding system to enable full width winding on 25mm ID cores
Finished roll unloading tree: Four shafted fixed position unit with 2x 76mm shafts and 2x 25mm shafts for material unloading
Operator interface: Colour touch screen that handles all tension, taper tension, speed, length and diameter information
